WHY USE A KIDOLOGY SITTER?
All sitters must be 18 years or older, meet our requirement for experience, and successfully complete our extensive vetting process. All candidates apply online, and if qualified, are interviewed in-person. We check references through contacting former childcare employers, verify educational background, and other types of experience. Chosen applicants must be TrustLine approved.
Also prior to hire, we conduct all the following checks: Department of Motor Vehicles, current CPR/First Aid certification, 2 years minimum experience working with kids, and 2 personal and professional references.
We take pride in our extensive vetting process to ensure we only offer quality care providers to our clients.
Should I become a VIP club member?
Yes! VIP Club Membership includes unlimited bookings and members can request your favorite Sitter.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RESERVE An OCCASIONAL SITTER OR hire a FULL- TIME Nanny home PLacement?
For part-time care, we ask for 24 hour notice. Less than 24 hours is considered emergency care. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call (619) 916-7435 if you require emergency care. ALL CARE REQUESTS WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE WILL INCREASE TO A $20 BOOKING FEE.
For Nanny Placements, please note the initial search typically takes 3-6 weeks from start to finish. We will help establish terms for a minimum of 12 months per Nanny Placement agreement, at a minimum of 15 hours per week. Our ongoing support and placement fees depend on how many hours per week you need from your nanny and on the circumstances unique to your family. This process can move more quickly if you are able to work with us in a timely manner by providing the necessary information pertaining for your family.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If a cancellation is received AFTER a sitter has already been confirmed, the client's booking fee is non-refundable and client will be billed via invoice for $25 per date of service cancelled. We understand life happens and may allow booking fees to be applied towards future bookings for cancellations/modifications before the sitter has been confirmed.
IF I ALREADY HAVE A FULL-TIME NANNY OR REGULAR SITTER. CAN I USE YOUR SCREENING SERVICES?
Yes! You can sign up for one of our screening packages or choose from a list of our individual screening services. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Can the sitter drive my child and go offsite?
Absolutely! If a sitter is asked to drive a child by car, parents must sign a release form to waive Kidology of any liability due to injury or other loss. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to make this request. We also recommend families reimburse the childcare provider at the standard federal rate of 57 cents per mile to transport children. Any admission charges (entertainment) and parking fees are the responsibility of the family.
Do you have sitters who stay overnight?
Yes, many of our sitters offer overnight care. A bed must be provided for the sitter. Please contact us for more details and pricing.
Are Sitters Employed by Kidology?
No, Kidology is a referral service for childcare providers. The childcare provider works directly for you; not Kidology. We make every reasonable effort to screen our childcare provider including background checks, reference screens, and in-person interviews. You agree to hold Kidology harmless from any damages incurred by childcare provider we refer. You agree not to hire Kidology childcare providers directly, but to always go through Kidology.
Can I directly hire a Kidology sitter?
No, we do not permit circumventing Kidology whether the individual worked for you in the past or you met through our network. If you are an active member and the care provider is still working in our network, you are still obligated to compensate Kidology for Application, Referral and/or occasional Booking fees. Engaging services from one of our childcare providers outside of our network will result in loss of membership for both parties.
