Curriculum + Learning Experiences

Learning Designed for Real Childhood.

At KidCo. Bungalow®, learning isn't limited to a desk, worksheet, or traditional classroom.

Our curriculum combines purposeful play, creative exploration, practical life skills, movement, nature, relationships, and hands-on learning to give children opportunities to discover what interests them—and build the confidence to keep exploring.

From a baby's first shared class with a parent to a school-age child's first woodworking project, each KidCo. experience is thoughtfully designed around the child's developmental stage.

Parent + Me

Their First KidCo. Experience Starts With You.

Parent + Me experiences give babies, toddlers, and young children the opportunity to explore KidCo. alongside a trusted grown-up.

Classes are intentionally relaxed, playful, and developmentally appropriate—creating opportunities for children to build confidence while parents connect, participate, and learn alongside them.

Art

Little hands explore color, texture, shape, and materials through process-based creative experiences.

The focus isn't on creating a perfect finished project—it's on exploration, sensory development, creativity, and self-expression.

Play + Learn

A welcoming space for new mothers and their babies to connect, learn, ask questions, and build community during the earliest stages of parenthood.

Experiences may include guest specialists, developmental conversations, baby-friendly activities, and opportunities to simply connect with other moms.

Music

Songs, rhythm, instruments, movement, and sound exploration encourage language development, coordination, listening, and joyful connection.

New Mom

A welcoming space for new mothers and their babies to connect, learn, ask questions, and build community during the earliest stages of parenthood.

Experiences may include guest specialists, developmental conversations, baby-friendly activities, and opportunities to simply connect with other moms.

Nature Wonder

Step outside and discover.

Children and their grown-ups explore plants, bugs, weather, gardening, natural materials, and seasonal changes through hands-on nature experiences.

Development Resources

Parent + Me isn't only about the child.

KidCo. connects families with age-appropriate developmental resources, parent education, community specialists, and practical ideas that can continue at home.

Play + Learn Drop-Off

A Little Independence. A Lot of Discovery.

Play + Learn is KidCo. Bungalow's small-group drop-off learning experience for children ready to explore more independently.

Children move through thoughtfully prepared experiences that encourage them to play, create, communicate, problem-solve, collaborate, and build confidence.

Rather than separating "care" from "learning," the entire KidCo. environment becomes part of the curriculum.

Children Explore

Art • Music • Sensory Play • Early Literacy • Early Math • STEM • Nature • Movement • Practical Life • Dramatic Play • Social-Emotional Learning

Experiences are adapted to the child's Learning Stage:

Toddler

Explore + Discover

Sensory experiences, movement, language, music, practical life, social interaction, and open-ended play support growing independence and curiosity.

Preschool

Create + Connect

Children begin exploring early literacy, math concepts, art, science, problem-solving, imaginative play, communication, and collaboration through hands-on experiences.

Pre-K

Think + Prepare

Children strengthen the skills that support a confident transition into kindergarten—including communication, early academics, self-regulation, independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Purposeful Play Is Learning.

At KidCo., children aren't expected to sit still to prove they're learning.

They build, pour, paint, measure, negotiate, imagine, question, experiment, move, create, and try again.

That's where learning happens.

School Age Enrichment

Learning Beyond the Classroom.

School Age Enrichment gives children opportunities to discover interests, develop practical skills, receive academic support, and learn alongside other children.

Designed for traditional school, homeschool, charter, and hybrid learners, experiences can complement a child's existing education rather than replace it.

Children can explore individual interests or build a personalized collection of enrichment experiences throughout the year.

Art

Drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, design, and creative projects encourage artistic technique and individual expression.

Nature Wonder

Gardening, ecology, animals, plants, environmental exploration, outdoor observation, and hands-on nature projects bring science to life.

Sewing + Textile Arts

Children explore fabric, pattern, measurement, hand sewing, introductory machine skills, design, and practical creative projects.

Math Night

Math that fosters Independence.

Math Night turns concepts into hands-on challenges.

Children might measure ingredients while making pasta from scratch, calculate dimensions for a woodworking project, create a budget, explore geometry through design, or solve a problem as part of a team challenge.

The goal is to help children understand:

When math has a purpose, it makes sense.

Music

Explore rhythm, instruments, songwriting, music appreciation, performance, and creative sound.

Woodworking

Measure. Design. Build.

Children learn age-appropriate tool safety, measurement, planning, construction, problem-solving, and craftsmanship while creating something tangible with their own hands.

Dollhouse Interior Design

A miniature introduction to architecture and interior design.

Children explore scale, space planning, color, furniture placement, textiles, mood boards, decorating, and creative problem-solving while designing their own miniature spaces.

Specialty Tutoring

Sometimes a child needs more individualized support.

KidCo. can connect families with specialty educators and tutors for focused academic support, skill development, project guidance, or subject-specific learning.

Tutoring opportunities may include:

Math • Reading • Writing • Language • Study Skills • Coursework Support • Project-Based Learning

Availability and specialty areas vary by educator.

Language

Language experiences introduce communication, vocabulary, culture, conversation, and opportunities to explore world languages.

Set Design

Where art meets engineering.

Children imagine a concept and learn how scenery, props, scale, construction, color, storytelling, and spatial design come together to create an environment.

Coursework Café

Bring Your Schoolwork. We'll Bring the Support.

A relaxed learning environment where school-age children can work independently or alongside peers on homeschool lessons, online coursework, reading, projects, or homework.

Coursework Café gives children a comfortable place to focus while still experiencing the social connection of learning around others.

Big Ideas, Real Impact.

Big Ideas, Real Impact. 〰️

Autonomy

“I have a choice.”

Children are given developmentally appropriate opportunities to make decisions, follow interests, and take ownership of their experiences.

Connection

The ability to build meaningful relationships and feel part of a community.

How We Teach

The Bloo Birdie Method™

KidCo. learning experiences are guided by the Bloo Birdie Method™—our approach to creating environments where children feel safe enough to connect, capable enough to try, and curious enough to explore.

We intentionally create opportunities that support:

Competence

“I can do this.”

Children are encouraged to practice, problem-solve, make mistakes, try again, and experience the confidence that comes from developing real skills.

Compassion

The ability to recognize and care about the experiences of others.

Relatedness

“I belong here.”

Learning happens through relationships. Children build meaningful connections with trusted adults, peers, their environment, and their community.

What We're Really Building

Academic skills matter.

But childhood is also where children begin learning how to navigate themselves and the world around them.

Through KidCo. experiences, we want children to develop:

Curiosity

The confidence to wonder, question, explore, and keep learning.

Because the future won't simply belong to children who can find information.

It will belong to children who know what to do with it.
